Good work is a matter of luck.
Good work is a matter of luck.
Almighty Allah bestows Tawfeek on whomever He loves to repent as well as to do good deeds. And whoever Allah does not like, He does not create in his heart a sense of plan. Then he despises any sin and perseveres in wickedness. As a result, good deeds are deprived of Tawfiq. Good work is not only a matter of luck but it is a great blessing from Almighty Allah.
Allah the Exalted says, He admits whom He wills into His grace. And He has prepared a painful punishment for the wrongdoers. (Surah: Dahr, verse: 31)
Similarly, when Allah wants to give something to a servant, He gives him the Tawfik to pray for it. As a result, he prayed to God. And Allah accepted his prayer and gave it to him.
When Abu Talib, the uncle of Rasulullah (SAW) was dying, he repeatedly asked his uncle to accept Islam. But Abu Taleb could not accept Islam because Allah did not grant Tawfik.
Allah says, “Surely you cannot guide whom you love” rather Allah guides whom He wills. And He is the Most Aware of the Guided. (Surah Qasas, verse 56)
Umar (R.A.) said, I don’t think about whether my prayers will be accepted, but I think about whether I can pray or not. Because when I am given the feeling of being prayed for, I understand that I have been given the grace to pray for my prayers to be accepted. (Ibn Taymiyyah, Majhmu’ul Fatawa 8/193)
The source of Tawfiq is Allah Rabbul Alamin. That is, Tawfiq comes from the source of Allah. The slave has no hand in it.
Finally, it can be said that good work are a matter of luck and a special favor from Allah.
