Cricket World Cup – 2023

World Cup Cricket is the greatest show of cricket on earth. Cricket World Cup started in 1975 on the soil of England.. The International Cricket Council (ICC) organizes the World Cup Cricket Tournament. India is the host of Cricket World Cup 2023. 
On April 30, 2006, ICC declared Bangladesh, Pakistan, Silence and India as Cricket World Cup 2011 organizers. But Srilanka Cricket Team became the victim of a terrorist attack while visiting Pakistan in the first week of April 2009. As a result, Pakistan was excluded from the organizers’ list on April 17, 2009, and 49 matches were divided among the three other countries by ICC. The inaugural ceremony of World Cup Cricket 2011 was held in Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka on February 17.
It was the greatest show of the inaugural ceremony in the history of World Cup Cricket. The captains of all the 14 participating teams entered the stadium, boarding on gorgeously decorated rickshaws. The State leader of Bangladesh, Sheik Hasina, initiated the competition pushing a computerized switch. With a single push, the stadium was flooded with flashes of colourful lights.
The Bangladesh, Srilanka and Indian performers made the ceremony attractive with their mind–blowing performances. Besides, the theme song’ De Ghumake ‘, meaning ‘Strike boldly’, added excellence to the show. People all over the world marvelled at this show. Even ‘Crickinfo’ said that Bangladesh has given back life to cricket with this grand show.
World Cup Cricket Vertues are selected according to ICC’s rules and regulations. ‘The ICC selected Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium in Dhaka and Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong as venues for World Cup Cricket matches in Bangladesh. 6 matches were held in Sher–e–Bangla Cricket Stadium, and 2 other matches were held in Zahur Ahmed Stadium.
Bangladesh Cricket Board took every possible step to make the country’s two World Cup Cricket venues ideal homes of beauty. Different govt. Government organizations also stood by BCB in this regard. Besides extensive lighting, the beautification activities included displaying different aspects of Bangladeshi culture, heritage and history.
Though the Bangladesh Cricket Team could not perform up to expectations, Bangladesh organized the World Cup Cricket well. Bangladesh was highly praised by the cricket world for this successful arrangement. However, Bangladesh’s wins over England and Ireland indicate that Bangladesh is a cricket team that must be considered duly.
