Day laborer

A day laborer is a person who does heavy, unskilled work. He is usually employed in agricultural work and construction work. His work needs strength rather than skill. He works from morning till evening for his employer and is generally paid at the end of the day.
His income is very low. He lives from hand to mouth. He usually lives in a slum and lives a sub-human life with his family. He works hard all day, buys food for his family with small earnings, and returns home in the evening.
His work is in great demand in harvesting season, and he can earn more. But when there is not much work for him in the lean period, his conditions worsen. He doesn’t get what he needs. He lives in misery and want.
The work of a day laborer is important. Positive and pragmatic steps should be taken to ensure jobs and shelter for this poorest section of our population.
